With so many things to consider which could create sound matrixing, great care had to be taken when listening to audio.
Caution played its part as the sound of water matrixing could easily be mistaken for chattering, chanting, add to that the sound of teams filtering and meandering through the complex could easily lead to misinterpretation of sound. Rocks or stones falling could be mistaken for footfalls, or for being thrown. Stones hitting the remnants of metal sheeting rattled through. Yet despite all this the teams were able to make connections and gather some interesting evidence.
While performing vigils the teams are not allowed to share any information until the end of the night if time permits. Heres a brief summary of what was encountered.
- Team 1 did receive evps asking for help, of being hurt and tired. What one would expect for a venue where hard labour and injury were partners. 16a raspy whisper calling out “help me”, 22a whispered “tired”.
- Raspy voices and breaths were heard which considering the working environment filled with limestone dust hanging in the air which would have gone straight into the throat and lungs.
- Investigators were physically affected in certain areas with specific ailments. Candis suffered shoulder pain in the Roman and Anglo-Saxon areas. Becky experienced a painful throbbing hand to the back of the tunnel. Sallyann experienced head pain where Way Out is painted on the wall. This was also felt by Edwina during the tour.
- The sound of swallowing, clearing a throat was heard throughout the complex by Team 1.
- The names Frederick Phillips and Tom Archer, stonemasons of 1800s, were intuited and confirmed with glass divination. The name Tom was particularly evident. An Evp giving the name Tom was captured at the beginning of the tour: 5a whispered “Tom” and during the investigation 37a male whisper that called “Uncle Tom” and the name Tom was provided by the Ovilus.
- Seven people, dressed in white cloaks, walking in a procession of one in front and three pairs of two behind were intuited by Christina on several occasion throughout the night, walking the main tunnels and Wagon Way. Could they have been Druids or Christian clergy of monks who may have worshipped in the caves?
- Next to the collapse of 1758 Nadine had sensed a boy aged about 10. She sensed he had been trapped by the falling debris that crushed his legs. Team 1 also sensed a young boy in the same area, his name sensed to be Samuel, aged 9 confirmed with glass divination. It had been reported that a little boy with dark hair has been seen. He was sent down toward the miners in the vast chamber of the blast above which was taking place due to the long cold winter couldn’t dig the lime from the side of the hill because it was frozen solid. Apart from those injured from the collapse others would have starved to death.
It was felt that a male energy was preventing the boy from moving on and Nikki had sensed the words “freedom no”. Later that night and unknown to the group Kelly in team 2, in the same area had connected with a male energy named Edward who had been a foreman and wouldn’t let anyone move on until it was safe. The name Edward was also given by the Ovilus to Team 3. Could this be the same energy holding him back?
- Dark shadows were seen by investigators against a wall near the rubble from the cave in. Dark figures were witnessed by David who saw a shadow at the back of the cave, Sallyann had seen a shadow move across a wall by the chapel and against a wall by the cave in by wagon Way as did Christina. Laura Allin witnessed a dark shadow along a wall. Laura Underwood saw a shadow walk past a glow stick blocking out its soft light as it passed by.
- Christina felt a tightness in her chest in connection with a religious male energy of the catholic faith who was not happy to communicate after having explained the groups intent and that two of the investigators had been educated by Nuns felt more at ease. Could the tightness in the chest have been an injury or a sign of a heart attack?
- Having walked further into the cave team 1 reached an area of the underground tunnels where Abbie saw someone sitting/crouched.
- We do know that an Anthony Northcott has worked in the quarry and an evp was captured of 9a whisper that called out “can you…” as another said “Tony”. Was this a coincidence that Tony is short for Anthony?
- By Wagon Way team 2 suffered a battery drain on a piece of equipment despite being fully charged. In the location of the Chapel team 1’s camcorder Infra-red lamp would switch of on command, yet there were no issues with the equipment which had operated perfectly before and after this session and yet no other piece of equipment had been affected.
- Both teams heard, what they described as the sound of someone clearing their throat:42loud sound of someone clearing their throat.
- At the 1500 wall Becky without reason, felt her right hand to throb painfully. In the Anglo-Saxon tunnel Candis suddenly felt immense shoulder pain. Sallyann and Edwina both experienced terrible headaches. Sallyann felt a terrible pain to the back of her head while walking through the complex. Could an energy be sharing the pain they had experienced from an injury?
- In the same area by the 1500 wall a ceiling collapse that killed 7 people was picked up on using dowsing rods.
